Students attend required on-campus sessions at our Santa Ana campus while completing the majority of their coursework online, giving them the freedom to study at their own pace and balance academic life with work, ministry, and family responsibilities.

Four-Year Program · 144 Credits

Bachelor of Theology

The Bachelor of Theology degree is conferred upon satisfactory completion of a minimum of 144 quarter units. A minimum GPA of 2.0 is required for graduation. The degree combines a well-rounded general education with focused theological and biblical training.

The Bachelor of Theology program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive foundation in theological education, emphasizing Biblical studies. Through a balanced curriculum, students receive both a strong liberal arts background and specialized training in the history of Christianity, theology, and biblical interpretation.

Four-Year Program · 144 Units

Bachelor of Christian Counseling

The Bachelor of Christian Counseling degree is conferred upon satisfactory completion of a minimum of 144 quarter units. A minimum GPA of 2.0 is required for graduation. The program is structured to equip students for compassionate and effective ministry in counseling roles within churches and Christian organizations.

The Bachelor of Christian Counseling is designed to prepare students for the ministry of counseling, grounded in biblical principles. Students are trained to serve individuals and families who are hurting, offering hope, healing, and guidance within a Christian worldview.

Graduates are well-equipped to serve as counselors in local churches, Christian schools, or faith-based organizations where emotional and spiritual care is vital.

Two-Year Program · 64 Units

Master of Christian Counseling

The Master of Christian Counseling degree is conferred upon completion of 64 quarter units. A minimum of 40 units must be completed in residence at Living Water University. This program is ideal for students pursuing pastoral or faith-based counseling careers that do not require professional licensure.

The Master of Christian Counseling program equips students with biblical counseling knowledge and practical skills to serve those in emotional and spiritual need. Graduates are prepared to minister in roles such as pastoral counseling, hospital chaplaincy, crisis centers, and church-based family support.

This program is designed as an intensive and accessible pathway for those with prior academic preparation to quickly enter the ministry field or continue toward doctoral-level studies.

Three-Year Program · 96 Units

Master of Divinity

The Master of Divinity (M.Div.) is a comprehensive graduate-level program totaling 96 quarter units. A minimum of 45 units must be completed in residence at Living Water University. This program is designed to prepare students for a variety of ministries, including pastoral leadership, preaching, teaching, and spiritual formation.

The Master of Divinity program is designed to equip dedicated Christians for various forms of church ministry, particularly in preaching, teaching, and leadership. It focuses on cultivating the ability to interpret and communicate Scripture, understand theological traditions, and engage in spiritual formation and pastoral care.

Graduates will be prepared to serve as pastors, chaplains, church planters, or other ministry leaders, and are also positioned to pursue further academic study if desired.
